    Dear user,
in the screenshot attached I cannot see the folder behind the front message window. This error usually happens when you try to install a 32bit patch over a 64 bit installation. Please ensure to download the proper patch.

If the problem persists, please try to temporary change the language setting of your operating system to English, install and then revert to your default locale.
Please report further problems, if any.

    Dear Jiri,
many thanks for your interest and grats on NextFEM Designer. The master-slave relationship is obtained through rigidarmnodes in OOFEM.
Please remind that not all the files made for OOFEM could be imported in Designer, since we support only a part of the element library and sintax.
If you encounter any troble with master-slave node models please upload here your model, I’ll be glad to give a hand.
    Regards

    Dear Wu,
with the patch released today we solved the value of s11 (now sxx in the program) shell forces. Please find the patch on:

    – for 32bit version: http://www.nextfem.it/patches/Patch-02-2017-32.zip

    -for 64bit version: http://www.nextfem.it/patches/Patch-02-2017-64.zip

We are doing cross checks with some shell models and I would include yours. I think you should wait for the next version for such things to be fixed.

Actually you have 2 nodal loads of 1200kN each on nodes 75 and 76. The resulting stress in the bounded edge is exactly 38MPa (you can check the reactions). The program does not include for now the showing of global stresses/forces.
Area stress displays local stresses only. You can display the local axes of each element by pressing the “Local axes” button.
I will perform further checks on your model, I’ll let you know.

Now I can see your model. S22 stresses are depicted always in local coordinate system, the one of each element.

Dear Wu, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I cannot access your attachments, please uploade them again, I raised the size limit.

To distinguish between plane stress and plain strain use the command in Edit/Changem element type… on the the selected elements.

    Dear Wu,
NextFEM Designer is design-oriented, we do not support contact problems. Anyway, your model description is not so clear as to make me able to suggest you a convenient alternative.
    regards

Did you install them as Administrator? Please perform also the procedure suggested here: http://www.nextfem.it/it/forums/topic/cant-start-flash-back/#post-665

    Hello,
it seems that the requirements have not been installed successfully. In particular, please check the installation of .Net Framework 4.0 and VC++ Redistibutable 2013. You can find them in the installation folder in the prereq64 or prereq86 subdir.

Version 1.07 has been published today, you can retry the analysis with the new version. Best if you use line3 to model your beam, as you can read the lateral displacement you want directly in the node placed in the middle of the span.

If you already have a model made with a 2-node line element, you can convert it to line3 by the command Edit\Change element type …

Please find attached an example file.
