plastic hinges can be used only with NonLinear module. If this module is not active, hinges behave linearly.We cannot reach you via email, it seems your email is not valid. please update your email address in your profile.
I suspect it depends on windows version (there was an issue with updates that had to do with solver interface), can you upgrade to 20H2 or 21H1?
This is not related to the way the built-in solver is distributed. Under Options / Solvers, please select “Write temporary results” and let us know.
Please also tell your exact version of Windows and bitness.Thanks for your model; we tried to run it successfully, unfortunately we cannot reproduce your issue. If you updated from an installation of a previous version of NextFEM Designer, please uninstall Designer and do a clean installation of v.1.8. This resolved the same problem in some cases.

it’s very simple to customize material libraries. Simply edit the text files in program installation folder / data (e.g. C:\Program Files\NextFEM\NextFEM Designer 64bit\data\Steel-MC EN.nfm). All files with nfm extension are for material library.Simply add lines you need by following order of required characteristics. Please find attached the modified “Steel-MC EN.nfm” which includes Q345B and Q235B.

As per Finite Element Method, this is not possible – mesh has to be consistent, which means that if you don’t mesh the line element, you’ll have shells only attached to corners.
You always see the results for the entire beam! Maybe you meant about checking – to consider the beams as unique during verifications, use members (Assign / Members).
