    Dear Wu, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I cannot access your attachments, please uploade them again, I raised the size limit.

    To distinguish between plane stress and plain strain use the command in Edit/Changem element type… on the the selected elements.

    Dear Wu,
    NextFEM Designer is design-oriented, we do not support contact problems. Anyway, your model description is not so clear as to make me able to suggest you a convenient alternative.
    regards

    Hello,
    it seems that the requirements have not been installed successfully. In particular, please check the installation of .Net Framework 4.0 and VC++ Redistibutable 2013. You can find them in the installation folder in the prereq64 or prereq86 subdir.

    Version 1.07 has been published today, you can retry the analysis with the new version. Best if you use line3 to model your beam, as you can read the lateral displacement you want directly in the node placed in the middle of the span.

    If you already have a model made with a 2-node line element, you can convert it to line3 by the command Edit\Change element type …

    Please find attached an example file.

    Thanks for your interest in NextFEM Designer.
    Linear buckling analysis will be supported in the next version 1.07; in the version you have, such analysis is performed temporarily as a linear static.

    Internet verification needs to be run to block previous buggy versions.

    Version 1.05 has been repacked, you can now re-download it. Now you can find a log in Start\Run…\ write “{5a176459ebb21c7db04e1d54db71de5ad0d418e61311d8e26be2f946fdfb3764}temp{5a176459ebb21c7db04e1d54db71de5ad0d418e61311d8e26be2f946fdfb3764}\nfLicLog.dat” without quotes and choose to open it with a text editor.
    This is log file of the operations performed during the online check.

    Anyway, you need to be online for the first use of the program.

    Dear Wudi,
    Since you’ve any active license, this behaviour is not correct (the activation server is hosted on nextfem.it, and since you’ve downloaded the software, this server is reachable from your pc).

    We’re working to solve such problem, in the meanwhile you should be able to work with the program by leaving the message window in the background, without pressing ok.

    Please look in the left-upper box of Dependency Walker, and check if there are some not found DLLs, marked with a yellow icon with a question mark. Check only the “root” level of such dependencies, inner levels are not significant.
    Tell us if some refs are missing.

    Dear User,
    the functionality you mentioned is restricted for now, and will be issued with a module license in the future.

    Did you still tried by unistalling vc2010 amd reinstall it from the links above?

    Please check 2 things
    1.check the included slimdx.dll with http://www.dependencywalker.com/ and post if there are errors or dependecies not found

    2. The last version re-packaged and published 2 days ago requires less dependencies. Please be sure to use the latest installer.

    In all the computers tested by us, we always get Designer running.
    I think you must check all the previous advices in this forum.

    To allow us to help you further, please specify:
    – your OS
    – your graphic card
    – if you have all the prerequisites installed
    – what versions of VC++ Redistributable you have installed.

    Please do another try: uninstall from Control Panel / Install\Remove Programs all the instances of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package.

    Then reinstall these packages:
    For 32bit: Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86)

    For 64bit: Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x64)

    This will allow for the 3D interface to run correctly. Let us know if that worked or not.
