Hi,
NextFEM interface seems not working properly with OpenSees solver of latest version. Dynamic analysis lead to crash and displacement is uneven, all force result of static analysis also.
Previous versions of NextFEM and OpenSees are always working properly for both analysis type, result is consistent with OOFEM solver.
Regards,

we’re not responsible for OpenSees development, and by our side it’s all fine (all OpenSees tests are working with 3.6.0). You can revert to the previous version of OpenSees or compile a copy by your own – I suspect an installation issue on your pc.regards

March 25, 2024 at 10:21 pm #5036parhyangParticipantthank you for looking further into my problem (attached input files). Installing Tcl 8.6.10 version make OpenSees works normally for static analysis of 3D frame as can be seen in example figure below. However, the problem still persists for plate models in both modal and static analysis.

it seems that the latest version has been compiled with uncompatible runtime libraries. Please check this version out (https://shorturl.at/loEGI), which has simply been recompiled from the original source code against vc2015 libraries.March 26, 2024 at 2:46 pm #5041parhyangParticipanthi, much thanks for given alternative distribution of OpenSees, It solved properly in static and modal dynamic analysis, displacement result in NextFEM shown as expected and consistent with OOFEM solver except in shell area force. I did not know in detail, since running single analysis of plate static analysis seems not a problem. i will try to do comparison with old versions of OpenSees also.

March 27, 2024 at 10:15 am #5048parhyangParticipanti tried again by creating new model of simple plate, assign loads, mass source then running analysis. OpenSees executable from official webs seems to be failed and crash, but alternates executable provided has not. Displacement and internal force results of static and dynamic modal analysis shown properly, consistent with OOFEM solver also. Once more, thank you so much. Please add a mirror link at GitHub if possible, since another user may experience the same issue.
