Tagged: tension only compression only
Hello, i wanted to know if it was possible, and how, to create an element that resists tension or compression only. Perhaps using spring NL (not symmetrical) elements or hooks? But this type of element is usable in free version ? thank you (sorry but this is an automatic translation).
Hello,
we have compression-only (hook) and tension-only (gap) springs that works even without license. FOr their characterization, please refer to https://www.nextfem.it/it/a-survey-on-non-linear-analysis-in-nextfem-designer-part-1/
Since they are free, you can use them in your NL analyses.
Let us know if you need further help.
regards
good morning, unfortunately I am having difficulty inserting the springs with non-linear behaviour that you have indicated, even looking at the guide I have not succeeded. When I spit out the NL characteristic I get the error you find in the attachment.
Hello,
we’ll prepare a patch for this unexpected behaviour – we’ll warn you when released.
Hello,
any news about the patch ? thank you
Sorry we didn’t warn you, patch is out since the end of September.
Thank you
