Hi, I have a mesh of tetra elements and I want to export it to opensees. However, there is no tetra element directly in opensees so Nextfem does not produce elements. But there is a way of achieving this buy degenerating the nodes to a tetra from brick. Will there be an option for this in Nextfem in the future. Since most of the solid meshes are complex and it is not easy to model all of it with brick type elements a tetra element is a must and this will enable modeling solid bodies. I need such a solution. Will there be an upgrade for this in the very near future? I think implementing this option will not be to difficult.
    Thanks in advance

    Dear user,
thanks for your interest in NextFEM Designer. Thanks also for your suggestion, but degenerating a brick element to a tetra geometry will produce a mal-formed mesh, and provokes huge convergence problems in non-elastic analyses. Hence, we cannot take this into consideration for a future version.
    Regards
